Help Save Smiles with PPA Charities

You probably photograph smiling faces every day. But what about those who can’t smile? What about children who find it difficult to even eat or speak because of facial deformities?
Photographers can band together with PPA Charities to help save the smiles of children in need. PPA Charities’ charitable partner is Operation Smile, a volunteer medical charity that provides surgeries to children suffering from facial deformities. And there are several ways you can get involved!

  • Become a PPA Charities Operation Smile Studio—For $240 (the cost of an Operation Smile surgery), you can support the cause year-round. You’ll also get in the drawing to document Operation Smile Mission Trip!
  • Join in Family Portrait Month—It’s a nationwide charity-driven promotion during the month of October, helping build business profits, goodwill, and donations for Operation Smile.
  • Volunteer to help at the PPA Charities Celebration—Whether you work on the auction or the party itself, help is always appreciated.
  • Be part of affiliate fundraisers—PPA Charities Ambassadors hold different events around the country to raise funds. More grassroots efforts are the goal! Is there a fundraiser in your affiliate…could there be?
  • Stay tuned for Smiles Day (coming soon!)—PPA Charities is releasing this new promotional event and its resources in 2012. It will be a one-day event for studios, where clients will donate a certain amount to receive a session and/or print.
Every year in January, PPA Charities presents the yearly donation to Operation Smile at the PPA Charities Celebration at Imaging USA. It’s now September, and we only have a few more months to go!
